Well, paradise is just about ok if you ask an authentic hyderabadi like me, im not taking into account my andhra & secundrabad brothers for whom paradise serves as a relatively posh and closer alternative. True biryani is served in the bylanes of old city with a range of amazing restaurants. A popular alternative to the dum biryani is the zafrani special mutton biryani served at mohinis in basheerbagh…for me paradise and hyderabad house are just for the those who are having the biryani as they were visting hyderabad, and yes the quality of paradise biryani has gone to dogs in the recent years, one cant even pull off 1 plate due to the promise of “not so” yummy next bite!!!

Paradise has definitely deteriorated in restaurant experience. Back in those times, it was a much smaller restaurant with great experience. You came in here and enjoyed yourself. Now, the food is OK but it is not a great experience for dining out. Limited parking and busy waiters. Nothing wrong with food. It is about the same. But now you feel like a drop in the ocean at this restaurant. Today it is mostly “newbies” to the Biryani experience who go here – tourists and those who are new to Biryani’s and for those without access to another good biryani restaurant. Unlike Chinese food, Biryani does not lose any taste in taking as a parcel and eating at home. My advise look for other good biryani restaurants and take a parcel in case you don’t like the ambiance at the other restaurants. There is no shortage of good Biryani joints in Hyderabad City.

Agreed. There are hotels in Hyderabad where you can get the same quality as paradise. But, being a hotel carrying on the business from such a long time with the same quality, it does make sense when people exaggerate about it.

I moved from Secbad about 10 years ago. But everytime I go back from Toronto, I have to go back and have a couple of meals at Paradise. Great food everytime.

Its not that the biryani isn’t good. Its good but what i truly feel is that people exaggerate it when it comes to Paradise.

I ve been there once and i wd say Paradise Hotel does have yummy food
