Hyderabad MMTS
MMTS (Multi-Modal Transport System) is Hyderabad’s city train service. It was flagged off on August 9, 2003, as an associate of The South Central Railway (SCR), is presently running 84 services a day, covering 27 stations and connecting Secunderabad, Falaknuma and Lingampally, over the existing railway network. Around 65,000 to 70,000 commuters use MMTS everyday. There are First Class & General class compartments, and a special Ladies compartment.
Now, there is a combined pass issued by the state-owned APSRTC and MMTS. So buying a single pass will help in traveling by bus as well as the train. This is an ideal public transport for people regularly travel to and from outskirts of the city such as Madhapur, Falaknuma, Lingampally, and Bolarum.

If you think traveling in a city bus from city outskirts is strenuous, try MMTS services and you will truly admire your trip. MMTS trains cover almost all the areas of the twin cities. Falaknuma, Lingampally, Hyderabad and Secunderabad are considered as the major MMTS stations in the twin cities.

The following services do not run on Sundays: FS1, SH1, LF7, LF8, LF9, LF10, FL7, FL8, FL9, FL10, HF1, HL10, HL11, HL12, HL13, HL14, HL19, LH9, LH10, LH11, LH12, LH13.

Train no. SH1 i.e. from Secunderabad to Hyderabad is not listed in the MMTS website, but it is listed in South central railway website. Please check with the MMTS and SCRailways for latest information.
