For Saina Nehwal, unexpectedly the things went poor on Saturday as she made things easier for the Chinese player who dominated her and entered into the singles finals of the Badminton Asia championship. Saina’s defeater Xuerui Li ranked 147 in the world entered into the final.

For a crowd which defied the hot weather to cheer Saina at the Siri Fort Sports Complex, that afternoon was a highly unforgettable one. The Hyderabad girl had done too many errors, confessed to missing her focus in the second game and gave up in just 31 minutes which is the shortest of the 10 semifinals conducted on Saturday.

Saina Nehwal ranked sixth in the world admitted that she could not execute what her coach was telling and also missed some of the strokes. Xuerui Li said she did not work too hard as Saina made several mistakes. (Source: The Hindu)
