The qualifying date for the electoral rolls will be considered as January 1, 2010 and according to that the revision will be done by GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation). All the constituencies in Hyderabad district are being revised according to the date of January 1, 2010. The revising of the rolls will start from May 28 and continue till June 12.

Files of the electoral forms can be dropped at the drop boxes which are kept at different centers in the twin cities and thereby they can easily get the electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPICs). Different forms are used for different purposes like Form-6 is used for inclusion of the names in the electoral roll, Form-7 is used for objections of inclusion or deletion from the rolls, Form-8 is used for correcting the particulars entered in the electoral roll, Form-8A is used for transposition of the entries in the electoral roll.

At the bus shelters, shopping malls, post offices and other busy centers the special kiosks are being arranged for setting the drop boxes. Citizens of the city can contact the BLOs (Booth Level Officers) of their area, AEROs (assistant electoral registration officers)/EROs (electoral registration Officers) of their constituency regarding any doubts like inclusions, deletions, transpositions and corrections of entries.

Citizens can download the forms of the website of GHMC and submit the filled application form along with affixing the passport size photographs.
