City to get Museum on Statistics Soon

A museum related to statistics is all set to come at Hyderabad. This museum will be called as “Sankhya: The National Museum of Statistics”, this project will be initiated by C.R. Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics Statistics and Computer Science (AIMSCS) and the University of Hyderabad (UoH). The expected cost is 6 crore for this museum.

University of Hyderabad provided five acre site for this museum to start the work on it’s campus at Gachibowli. The museum is said to display historical developments of statistics, developments in the 20th century with special reference to contributions by Indian statisticians. Authorities are expecting to get it ready by the end of the year.
