Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL), is planning to replace the overhead electricity lines at major tourist spots by the underground cables. As a part of beautifying the tourist spots across the country, high ranked power department officials came up with this idea of replacing the overhead cables with the underground cables.
Discom and the central government are funding this project. As the project is being initiated by the centre, large amounts of funds are being funded by the centre according to the officials of Discom.
The overhead lines are spoiling the beauty of the tourist places, in order to make the tourist places look more beautiful, these lines are being replaced by the underground cables.
