The new master plan is set to covert the area around the Charminar of Hyderabad into a Pedestrians-only zone. Order for this plan was approved by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. This master plan has various suggestions to improve Hyderabad.

According to this plan old Gandhi hospital will be converted to a bus terminal, and to combine all the five existing bus terminals around the Secunderabad railway station.

There is another proposal in that plan is recognition of old buildings as historical landmarks of the city and if any historical building collapses then a similar structure will be re-constructed at the same place.

There is another proposal of shifting the industries from Sanathnagar, Balanagar, Jeedimetla areas to the outskirts of city and the existing establishments can be converted into commercial units. Sanathnagar will become like Madhapur within next five years. It covers climate change, heritage structures, and water bodies and also they proposed a nine meter Green buffer on both sides of important nalas in this plan. The plan also covered providing the cluster housing in slum areas.

The plan was drafted in December and they adjusted the plan in February and it was sanctioned in March.
