The Central government has taken initiatives to protect children against Hepatitis B, HIB (haemophilus influenza type – B) and DPT (Diptheria, Pertusis and Tetanus). An advanced vaccine called “Easy- Five” will be given to children in 3 doses for free. The doses will be given after 6 months, second after 10 months and the final dose after 14 months. The whole dose gets completed in just 3 injections, unlike the previous dose where 6 injections have to be taken for every 2 months. This will be introduced in AP in next few months, according to the state health officials.
