GHMC to Provide Iron Meshes to City Buses in the View of Telangana Agitation

According to the officials of GHMC, 500 APSRTC buses running in the city will be provided with iron meshes on the front rear sides. This decision is taken to avoid losses, in wake of report to be released by Sri Krishna committee. It is estimated that it costs around Rs.3,000 for each bus to have an iron mesh.

Last year, the corporation had incurred a loss of Rs.22 lakh due to Telangana agitation. The corporation is also planning to run 3,840 special buses for Sankranthi from January 7th to 14th for the convenience of passengers.
