Qutub Shahi Tombs in the Race to Get Heritage Tag - Hyderabad India OnlineAfter one year of serious efforts by conservation architects, historians, stake holders, tourism officials, the final report for addition of Qutub Shahi tombs, Charminar and Golconda to the list of “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO is made ready. State Government had taken this responsibility, as a measure to make Hyderabad as one of the leading tourist spots in the World. The final document, which is to be sent to UNESCO was prepared by Mumbai based historical consultants, Abha Narain Lambah Associates. The report highlights issues regarding management of the monuments, conservation measures and various other factors relating to the monuments.

Before finalizing on the Heritage tag, the UNESCO team visits the places for the purpose of inspection. In order to make these sites eligible for the tag, the government need to make immediate changes in connection with the maintenance of these sites.
