A 65 foot tall revolving tower has been erected at Lumbini Park, with an intention to provide whole view of the city from higher point. Lumbini being a major tourist spot in the city, this addition comes as a measure to enhance the experience of the people visiting the park. The tower is 65 foot tall, revolving and has a seating capacity of 32 persons. It takes 2 minutes 45 seconds to go up and come down. It will stop for 15 to 30 seconds after reaching the maximum height, during which the visitors have a chance to view the entire surrounding areas of the city. The responsibility of shaping up this idea was taken by the officials of Buddha Purnima Project (BPP) under the supervision of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The tower was installed on New Year and will be open for public use from next few days. Officials said that the charge of the ticket is not yet decided but may range between Rs.20 to Rs.25.
