Formal business attire for men is very strictly defined in many organizations. The very common business attire includes a business suit with a white or light colored cuffed shirt and a conservative tie. In India, office formal wear has been reduced from a suit to only light shirt and suit pants due to humid conditions and cost.

The minimum employers expect at interviews or at workplace is a standard plain collared, full sleeves shirts in combination with cotton pants, simple belt, plain tie, wrist watch and preferably short hair (without any gaudy dyes).

Casual and funky look only represents your careless or carefree attitude, which makes you undeserving for the job. Make sure that you remain simple and most importantly dignified, which automatically conveys that you are calm, passionate and intelligent enough to handle the job. It is better to let your dress do the talk before you do, in the interviews.
