30 May 2011: In a series of arrests of drug peddlers, Banjara Hills police has again arrested two Cocaine peddlers and seized 25 grams of the narcotic substance. The two drug peddlers were residents of Banjara Hills area.
These accused procured Cocaine from Mumbai and were supplying it to the customers in the city for Rs.4,000 a gram. The list of customers included several socialites including tollywood actors, models, fashion designers, businessmen and others from affluent families. As many of these personalities reside in the areas of Banjara Hills, many arrests in the recent past took place within this police limits. The Central Crime Station (CCS) has taken up the case and booked the two under various sections of NDPS Act.
