JNTU-H Releases FET 2011 Notification

9 Aug 11: The much awaited FET notification has been finally announced by JNTU Hyderabad, on August 8, 2011. As per the notification, “Faculty Eligibility Test” is conducted with an objective to identify qualified, meritorious and motivated candidates for entry level appointments as lecturers/assistant professors in all its affiliated professional colleges, including Engineering, Pharmacy, MBA, and MCA – in 10 districts of Telangana region.

JNTU-H has already said earlier that FET is mandatory for entering its’ affiliated colleges and those who were appointed without qualifying this exam will be disapproved by the University. Thus, the current faculty working as lecturers and asst. professors but not ratified by the University will also have to take up this exam in order to continue.

However, the faculty members who qualified through NET, or have a PhD, or been selected through University selection Board are exempted from taking up the exam.

The eligibility criteria to take up the test are the first class pass outs of B.Tech or BE or those who have completed M.Tech or ME, for professional courses. Those who have cleared the test will be termed as “University Approved Faculty” and the colleges have to implement the AICTE pay scale. It is said that the test will be conducted in 18 subjects to check their knowledge.

How to Apply:
Candidates will have to apply online at www.jntuh.ac.in and send printed copy of the submitted application form through post or in person to The Convener, FET-JNTUH-2011, JNTUH, 3rd floor, (Office of the Director, Academic and Planning), Administration Building, Kukatpally, Hyderabad – 500 085.

The applicants will have to submit a DD along with the enclosures – for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST) drawn in favor of “Convenor, FET-2011”, on any nationalized bank

Time:
The applications should be submitted by 20th August 2011, before 5pm. Last date to submit application form with late fee of Rs. 1000/- is 25th August 2011, before 5pm. The exam will be conducted on 4th September, 2011.
