The Central Power Distribution Company Limited (CPDCL) has decided to increase the duration of the daily power cuts in Hyderabad and Secunderabad from one hour to three hours with immediate effect from 21st August 2012.
The power supply situation in Hyderabad has worsened, with many corporations and towns facing difficult situations to handle the power cuts.
In all villages the power cut is for eight hours and in all municipal towns and district headquarters the power cut is for six hours, but unofficially, cuts are more depending on availability of transmission facility.
