Andhra Pradesh has become the first state in the country to issue income, caste and residential proof certificates to the students. This facility is provided in the eSeva centers across the state, so that students can collect their documents within hours after submitting the application. The applicants should only pay Rs 25 for caste certificate and Rs 35 for residential certificate.
Students belonging to Economically Backward Class (EBC), Other Backward Class (OBC), Schedule Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) can also acquire these certificates.
District administrations have started collecting the data of students under the Integrated Students Economic Survey project. In case, the students have a delay in receiving the certificates, they should approach the concerned Tahsildar, as the Tahsildar plays an important role in collecting the date from the educational institutions located in his respective jurisdictions.
