A new car parking facility having several levels is on the anvil at the AP high court. The measure has been taken by the GHMC with an object to facilitate heavy traffic in the area. Advocates and petitioners park in the vacant land proximate to the court building because of insufficient parking area.

If the parking complex thus planned constructed under Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT), it becomes the largest multi-level parking facility in the city. It would also bring to close the hardship faced in parking vehicles in the proximity of Charminar.

According to GHMC, the proposed parking complex measures close to 6,300 square yards. The erstwhile Nayapul Maternity Hospital land is available next to the high court for the purpose.

The complex is reportedly to have five-to-six floors and would accommodate approximately 1,000 cars, 700 car bays for advocates and petitioners and other members of general public visiting Charminar or its vicinity.

In the event, if any, the high court is displaced to other location, the parking facility could be sued for general public. As there is likelihood of increase in traffic volume, when Charminar Pedestrianisation Project (CPP) is closed, the parking complex would be useful for tourists.
The GHMC, reportedly, got the project examined for its feasibility and found it to be positive.
