The 11th ‘Conference of the Parties’ (CoP-11) has begun from October 1 till October 19 in Hyderabad. To mark the CoP-11, the Indian Post, Delhi will release a commemorative postal stamp depicting the events on biodiversity.
The postal stamp will be released by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on October 16 in Hyderabad at the CoP-11 meet. In a sealed envelope the postal stamp will reach Hyderabad on October 16.
The postal stamp’s design, graphic and price are not yet revealed by the authorities in Delhi. It will be disclosed on October 16 at the biodiversity meet.
Proposal for a post office at the CoP-11 venue for services like e-post, money transfer, etc. are likely to open for the delegates who have come from all over the world. A philatelic exhibition on postal stamps depicting biodiversity will be opened at the CoP-11 venue.
