One more vent is going to be constructed at the rail under bridge in Malakpet. The object is to facilitate easy traffic transit. The road is to be made wider on both sides of the rail under bridge.
The road has a width of 50 ft to 60 ft, becomes overcrowded near the RUB at peak hours. The carriageway beyond the RUB has a width 120 ft to 150 ft. As the LB Nagar-Miyapur metro rail corridor (I) would pass through this, and a station is to come up near the Malakpet railway station,

The Hyderabad Metro Rail is reportedly to bear the expenditure estimated to be Rs 10 crore, involved in construction of the vent and the South Central Railway is to prove the two way vent for the existing bridge. The GHMC would make the road winder on both sides of the bridge. The road and transport ministry of Union government have been communicated with general alignment drawing.

There are two vents already, thus making four lanes. On creating one more vent it will become six lane road.

Nine more underpasses are to be constructed on the NH to ease flow of traffic when the metro rail starts running. The underpasses proposed to be constructed at JNTU-Kukatpally Y-junction, SR Nagar, Mythrivanam, Khairatabad junction, Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar, Chaitanyapuri crossroads and Gaddiannaram. As all of these lie on national highways spanning a distance of 30km, Union government approval is required.
