Dengue has been increasingly occurring in Hyderabad. This year, the number of dengue cases are said to have increased fourfold over the last year’s numbers. 120 cases have been reported in Ranga Reddy district.
Dengue has, according to experts, lead to difficulties for common people. Hospitals have inadequate number of beds and shortage of blood. The number cases are increasing between the July and September.
Officials advise people to insist on Elisa test. The test is the confirmatory test to diagnose dengue. The test is done at no cost at Institute of Preventive Medicine.
