The GHMC is going to demolish some properties with the owners’ assent for widening road on HMR corridor (LB Nagar to Miyapur).
GHMC is said to have held talks with the owners of the 54 properties affected by the work. The area is near Chaderghat.
Close to 25 owners agreed to give their properties for compensation at the rate of Rs32,000 per square yard.
The work is to be completed within a month. After the demolition, widening of the road is to be taken up.
The civic body is undertaking on a big scale on the three corridors of HMR. This is to make sure uninterrupted flow of traffic during busiest hours.
