AP Records 9.27% Annual Growth

AP considered the 6th place among 15 states in major sectors such as agriculture, services, and industry sectors of the country. State Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES) shows that AP’s average annual growth rate is 9.27% which is higher than the national rate 8.65%.

DES also stated that even though Bihar once a backward-state, it tried for many feats to accomplish and thus it stood in 2nd place in economic growth after Maharashtra state. Bihar ranked 1st in both the services and industry sectors with growth rates of 11.01% and 13.7% respectively. Whereas Gujarat placed 4th in industry sector and 5th place in services sector with growth rates of 11.10% and 10.20% respectively.

According to sources, AP’s average growth rate in agriculture field was 6.09 and 10.21 in industry sector against the national averages 3.89 and 8.59 percentages.

Haryana topped per capita income list with Rs 94, 464 and 16.45% growth rate followed by Maharashtra and Tamilnadu with Rs 83,471 and Rs 75, 449. AP ranked 7th in per capita income with Rs 62, 912. The national per capita income is Rs 53,331.
