LPG consumers will get nine cylinders for the year 2013-2014. The cap on supply of subsidized domestic LPG cylinders is enforced from April 1st. LPG consumers who have booked cylinders in the last week of March, will be losing one subsidised cylinder from their allotment of nine cylinders in this year (2013-2014).
LPG consumers who have booked refills in the last week of March to utilize their quota of five subsidised cylinders of previous year (2012-13) and haven’t received the cylinder yet, because the date of delivery will be considered instead of booking date. And will also lose a subsidised cylinder in the coming year (2013-2014) out of their quota of nine cylinders.
Consumers want the gas agencies to consider the booking date instead of the delivery date, because if delivered on or before April 1 it will be counted for the year 2013-2014.
