Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad has been rated as the number one airport in the country under World Airport Awards(WWA).
It has also been ranked fifth best regional airport in Asia and the eighth best airport in category 5 to 10 mppa capacity.
The ratings were assigned at Skytrax-World Airport Awards held at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Geneva.
The WWA are based on surveys on 12 million passengers covered in 10 months, in over 388 airports.
The WWA are based on total passenger experience across 39 airport services and products factors, including arrival at an airport, transit and departure process to the boarding gate.
The WWA are the global benchmark with regard to ‘Airport Excellence and Quality Ranking’.
