Mercury Touches 43.9 Degree Celsius in Hyderabad – Highest for the Season - Hyderabad India OnlineAccording to the Met Department, on 22 May the city boiled with the highest temperature for the season – 43.9 degree Celsius.

People in Hyderabad are witnessing unbearable summer heat waves. It is also learnt that heat waves are likely to continue for the next two to three days with the mercury crossing 44 degree Celsius mark.

In the afternoons between 12 pm to 4 pm, the city bore a deserted look as people favoured to stay indoors to escape the scorching heat.

In the year June 1966, the city recorded the maximum temperature of 45.5 degree Celsius and since then it has never crossed 45.5 degrees, but as the temperature touched 44 degrees recently, there are chances of it touching 45 degree Celsius in the next two or three days.
