There are 25 lakh domestic LPG connections in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district, but according to the reports only 30 per cent of LPG consumers have submitted Aadhaar details.
The finance principal secretary recently announced that irrespective of whether LPG consumers have submitted their Aadhaar cards and bank details at gas agencies, they will receive subsidised cylinders at Rs 412.50 till August 15 2013.
Consumers who haven’t complied with Aadahar norms have got a grace period of three months till August 15, so that they can avail the subsidy benefit, and if they don’t get their LPG connections linked with Aadhaar card and bank accounts, they will lose the subsidy benefit.
