The extension on the deadline for set top boxes came as a relief to cable TV users who were unable to get one for their TV due to the shortage in set top boxes.
The AP High Court has extended deadline till June 4 for installation of set top boxes and has ordered cable operators not to force consumers to buy set top boxes in a rush.
The court decided to extend the date due to the shortage of set top boxes, so that they can meet the supply and demand of set top boxes.
