The state governement has announced that students who have cleared the backlogs in the Inter supplementary exams and qualified in Eamcet, will be allowed for the first phase of Eamcet engineering and medical counselling.
It is learnt that nearly 30,000 students who failed in Intermediate exams, were qualified in Eamcet, but only 20,000 students could clear the backlogs. However, these students will get separate rankings.
Out of these 20,000 students – 16,500 students are for engineering courses and 4,500 students for medical courses.
On a side note, students are clearing EAMCET, but not intermediate. Dramatic reduction on quality of the EAMCET examination?
