HMDA’s Projects are to Cover Four Districts

The Metropolitan Development Plan – 2031 for the metropolitan area of Hyderabad has been sanctioned by government. The Plan is to cover 35 mandals in four districts surrounding Hyderabad (5,985 sq km).

The Hyderabad Habitat Centre (HHC) has been approved to be developed on 11-acre site at Khanamet and is estimated to cost Rs134 crore.

The HHC will have artiplex theatres, convention facilities, a visual arts gallery, sculpture courts, theme parks, learning centres, landscape gardens, an open air theatre and food courts.

Preparing a master plan for the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) has been approved by government.
