The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has decided to remove cut off marks from the ensuing academic year in entrance examinations for admission to all courses.

According to sources at the University, the decision was taken to ensure all OBC seats are filled up, as earlier only about 20% of the 27% reserved for them used to get filled because of imposition of cut off marks, which was 10% less than the general category.

The university has scheduled entrance examinations for 2014-15 to be held February 1st to 7th, 2014, and there would be no cutoff mark for any category.

The entrance exams will be conducted for 130 programmes in various disciplines for 2,000 plus seats at 35 centers across the country. Four centres are in Telangana and three each in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

From December 4th to January 4th 2014, online application forms for entrance exams will be available.
