The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) under Revenue Recovery (RR) Act seized assets from the defaulters. This was the second time the Board seized the assets for non payment of dues in the last two months.
The defaulters were given disconnection notices and red notice was issued to them for seizing their assets. Even after this, the consumers failed to comply. Therefore, under RR act, the assets proportionate to the dues had to be seized.
According to official sources, similar action will be taken against the defaulters, if the dues are not cleared as per the time limit fixed.
