All five zonal offices and eighteen circle offices of GHMC, functioning with head office would be networked with video conferencing facility soon. Once it becomes operational, it helps in quick interaction between officers of different zones and circles. Thus, it will save their travel time to different office locations.
The GHMC has decided to introduce the new biometric systems at all offices for regular staff, employees and outsourced workers. This ensures better streamlining of work process and increase in the productivity and output.
The GHMC is planning to extend their customer service. For this, it is launching a new phone number 21111111 soon to help customers log in their grievances and complaints. This is in addition to the existing call centre number: 155304.
