Scheduled power cuts have been enforced by the authorities from March 18, 2014. The power cuts are not according to the original schedule.
Authorities have made sure that until the close of intermediate examination, there is no power cuts between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. in the exam centres.
Over the past week, temperatures are rising. This has resulted in a higher amount of power consumed because of coolers and air-conditioners usage. Also, industrial power holidays have been imposed, after which a shortfall of 500 MW has happened. All these have caused the scheduled power cuts for domestic users.
