Now that 2015 is coming to an end and 2016 is about to begin, it’s time to start a fresh calender and make some resolutions with new goals and aspirations. This is the best time of the year to press the reset button, leave past negative impressions and start working on new goals for the year ahead.
Many people are more concerned about setting the goals as new year resolutions, but do not think how they are going to accomplish them or even whether they are realistic and achievable. Setting the goal gives clarity on long-term visions and such resolutions motivates and drives individuals forward towards achieving it. Sometimes a review of our past resolutions also teaches us a lot about ourselves, even though we have not succeeded with them.
Life without goals is like beginning a journey without knowing the destination. Many people have broad visions about what they want to do in life, but fail to make them as specific goals. This leads to improper usage of their time, energy and efforts. However, once the resolutions are made, it is essential to first put them into writing because goals which were written have higher success rate of achievement than those which were not written. Hence, when good resolutions are not made and written – failure is more common.
As a part of this new year resolution, let us make meaningful and challenging promises, stretch beyond our comfort zones to uncover our inner potential, and achieve goals to get the best out of life. So what are you waiting for, grab a pen and some paper and make a list of your goals for the next 12 months…
Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2016 !
