True Education

Being educated does not mean having the highest technical expertise or knowledge of a particular subject. Synonym of education is personal renaissance – driving away darkness of ignorance, superstition, prevailing bad practices, rituals and established ways of thinking. Education means doing something positive for society in big picture. A person who is not connected to the big picture is not educated.

Alfred Nobel had solid technical knowledge through which he created a substance of massive destruction. Though it earned him lots of money it left him morally dissatisfied. The guilty conscience in him motivated him to donate all his wealth to Noble Foundation. If you observe, Nobel Prize is awarded to a person who helped mankind with his invention, eminence or discovery rather than to a person who has highest knowledge or skill in the subject.

This section is not meant to improve your technical knowledge or skills, but to help you broaden your mindset to be able to connect meaningfully and positively with the society and its institutions; and to support and enable a positive transformation in it.

Because positive social change is possible only by a truly educated.
