Cyberabad consists of all the outskirts and semi urban areas of the Hyderabad. Areas such as Madhapur, Kondapur, Gachibowli, Uppal, Medchal and Shamshabad etc. come under Cyberabad. Cyberabad surrounds Hyderabad on all sides. In other words, the area around the Hyderabad that has been developing lately is called as Cyberabad. With the aggressive promotion of some areas of Cyberabad, there have been extensive investments in luxurious residential townships, technological infrastructure such as Hitech city and many other IT and ITES companies.
If you really take a look at what Cyberabad is without Hyderabad, you will understand that it is nothing but wilderness and a cluster of sleepy villages. If it were as a satellite township some 50 kms away from Hyderabad, the scenario would be totally different. There would no developments or it wouldn’t have got the popularity, which it enjoys today.
Hyderabad, a cosmopolitan city
Many of the multinational companies are setting up in Cyberabad. This is only because it is very near to a cosmopolitan city like Hyderabad, which is full of resources. Hyderabad has a vast work market with many talented people from core Hyderabad as well as from different states of the country.
Hyderabad has good infrastructure
Lakhs of people would be missing if Hyderabad doesn’t exist near Cyberabad. Without many people, infrastructure would not come. Hyderabad has all the basic services needed to support the development such as roads access, schools, hospitals, police stations, water and sewage facilities etc.
Hyderabad, full of cheap resources
Another reason for the multinational companies to set up their offices in Hyderabad is that it offers many inexpensive resources. The distribution mechanism that brings in the different goods and services from other places is unique to Hyderabad. Because of this, all the goods and services are easily available. You can’t find this in Cyberabad. If Hyderabad is far away, the prices of the goods (for individuals as well as companies) will be expensive as the markets will be far away.
Transportation is one of the major factors that affect the growth of a city. Hyderabad has good internal transportation facilities. People anywhere from the core Hyderabad can travel comfortably in an expensive way. Hyderabad is well connected to all other states of the country through road, rail and air.
Apart from these things, Hyderabad has many other things like good schools, many shopping places, good leisure spots, good hospitals, and above all the distinct cosmopolitan Hyderabadi culture that attracts MNCs. You won’t find any of these in Cyberabad.
One thing you need to understand is that business and investments will grow only if there is opportunity. Here, Hyderabad provides huge opportunities for MNC’s to develop. If Hyderabad were not there, there would definitely be no Microsoft, Google, Dell, Infosys, Wipro and TCS etc. in Cyberabad.
