The All India Service officers are now going to enjoy luxury flats. The state government is all set to convert the old IAS and IPS residential quarters to luxurious colonies with residential as well as commercial units.
It is said that the present buildings are in a poor condition and are facing frequent leakages and repairs. Present ground-plus one buildings are proposed to be ground-plus 10 floors. It was decided to develop the present IPS and IAS residential quarters at Punjagutta which spread over 20.80 acre. The other government officers and employees’ quarters of Erramanzil (1 acre), Yousufguda (10 acre), Patigadda (40. 12 acre), and Malakpet (69. 12 acre) are also to be developed.
