Andhra Pradesh High court recently declared that all the cell phone companies need to take permission from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) before installing high-rise cell phone towers on the buildings.
The State High Court received three separate petitions filed against GHMC stating that the civic body is not taking any actions against towers installed without permission. Since, obtaining permission to install the cell phone towers is must under Hyderabad Municipal Act, the judge declared the same to all the operators.
