Builders and Developers Need to Keep Open 10% Space

Drastic fall in water bodies has prompted HMDA to advise state government regarding the issue and is suggesting to make it mandatory for builders and developers to assign more than 10% of land for for ‘lung-space’ (open space). Under current rules, the percentage is 10.

Illegal acquisition of lake bed and natural draining channels is widespread in Hyderabad. The government can help people provided they support and cooperate the authorities in this matter.

The government is, reportedly, encouraging green buildings- ones that are environment-friendly. People are, however, preferring for non-green ones, because they are cheaper. However, over time, green buildings bring in the advantage of saving electricity.
