A meeting was recently conducted under the chairmanship of HMDA metropolitan commissioner to discuss to form the committee to take measures to prevent discharge of industrial effluents into Jeedimetla and Kukatpally nalas.
It is also said that these industrial effluents are posing serious threat to the Hussainsagar lake as the water from Kukatpally and Jeedimetla nalas flow into Hussainsagar.
They discussed about incentives to manufacturers of Ganesh idols for using organic material.
