GHMC Commissioner Navin Mittal said that an emergency operations centre (EOC) is going to be launched on June 1st for effective functioning in coordination with the other departments.
EOC will act as a department which is in coordination with the other departments like R&B, HMWS&SB, District Collectorates of Hyderabad & Ranga Reddy, Chief Engineer, I & CAD, Director of Tourism, APCPDCL, APSRTC, Medical & Health, City Police, Fire, HMDA and others.
25 government departments in the limits of GHMC are being associated with EOC for its functioning. Each department which is in participation has been asked for nominating a senior official as the nodal officer.
