10 Jun 11: GHMC has formed a task force comprising of Vigilance Inspector, three Assistant Medical Officers of Health, Chief Medical Officer of Health and Chief Veterinary Officer, to inspect, evaluate and grade star hotels in the twin cities.
The hotels will be graded based on these parameters – cleanliness of surroundings, drinking water quality, results of food samples, cleanliness of utensils, violation of statutory norms and other provisions, maintenance of kitchen, parking facilities and usage of plastic.
GHMC has appealed the hoteliers to avoid usage of plastic keeping public health in view.
