When other areas in the city are facing shortage in supply of drinking water, areas like Jubilee Hills, Madhapur and Gachibowli are getting more water.
In summer more water was supplied to these areas. Gachibowli section of division 15 got around 71.22 kilolitres (kl) of water where there are 4,598 connections. Madhapur was also supplied with an average of 62.6 kl and areas like Miyapur and Banjara Hills the supply of water was around 50 kl.
While water supply to most middle-income and low-income groups was half than what the posh areas got. The area that got the lowest supply of drinking water was Gowlipura in Old City which barely got 15 kl of water where the number of connections is 7,315.
