4 Jun 11: The SCB is taking all the necessary actions to give facelift to the damaged roads in its area, in wake of upcoming monsoon season. The roads which are in a bad shape with no dividers and reflectors are identified in the recent inspection by the traffic police team. These stretches are Tadbund, Balamrai junction, RP pump turning, Brooke Bond X roads, Lal bazaar bus stop, Lee Royal Junction, Inidan overseas bank and Holy Mary ‘T’ junction in Tirumulgherry. Due to the bad stage of these roads, they are also found to be more accident prone. With the budget of R.50 lakhs, the board is planning to complete the works in three months.
