On 20 May, the Supreme Court made a verdict, where it made the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Neet) optional. The Neet is meant for admission to under-graduate and post-graduate medical courses. The verdict is said to have given some relief to students in Andhra Pradesh.
The verdict facilitates admissions to MBBS, dental and PG medical courses based on exams held by the state. The Court is going to give the final verdict on Neet in early July this year.
