Hyderabad’s airport – RGIA ranked world’s 5th best
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) of Hyderabad has been ranked as the 5th best in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards for 2014, which was announced by the global body of airports, ACI (Airports Council International) that surveys and reports the best airports worldwide after considering the quality of many aspects of service. RGIA airport handles more than 6 million passengers annually and it is world’s number one airport that is built to handle more than 12 million passengers per year. It is ranked as first in Asia and 2nd in the world in the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design ) awards, with Silver Rating for its eco-friendly design.


Taj Falaknuma palace: recognized in Conde ‘Nast Travelers Readers’ Travel Award
Condé Nast Traveler, a luxury travel guide from Condé Nast, UK, has recognized Taj Falaknuma Palace of Hyderabad, as the 5th best hotel in Asia and in the Indian hotels category for 2014. The hotel which is in the close proximity to major Hyderabad destinations like Charminar monument, Chaumallah Palace and Nehru Zoological park, is considered as one of the incredible places to stay for an outstanding experience.

Hyderabad – ranks 139 in Mercer’s Quality of Living Report
Hyderabad, which was ranked as 138th top Indian city in terms of quality of living in the year 2015, lost one rank in 2016 and stood in 139th place in Mercer’s 18th annual Quality of Living Report. American consultancy Mercer publishes its yearly survey on the quality of living in various cities around the world considering the factors like medical and health care quality, facilities for kids like schooling and colleges, environmental quality like air pollution, crime rate etc as key indicators. For the second time in a row Hyderabad excels with less crime rate, lower air pollution, good education standards and beats big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore in terms of living quality.


Hyderabad – 2nd on the top tourist destinations by National Geographic Traveler
National geographic Traveler, the world’s most widely read travel magazine has declared Hyderabad as the second best place in the world for tourism in 2015. The top 20 rankings were published in its 2015 annual guide of Traveler magazine, where other places like National Mall in Washington D.C, Zermatt in Switzerland, Maramures in Romania, Choquequirao in Peru etc are also included in the list. The periodical of the magazine discussed many destination attractions of Hyderabad and talked about how Hyderabad emerged to become the hub for many global IT brands.

Hyderabad ranked 19th in Swachh Sarvekshan survey
Since the launch of Swachh Bharat in 2014, this is the first time Urban development ministry of India surveyed various cities for sanitation & hygiene and announced the rankings on February 15th 2016, under the name of Swachh Sarvekshan survey. Among the list of 73 major cities over 10 lakh population, Hyderabad ranked in the 19th place in cleanliness and in integrated solid waste management. The survey was made to evaluate the impact of Swachh Bharat mission, improve awareness of sanitation and promote a spirit of healthy competition among cities.

Hyderabad as 2nd best MICE destination in India
ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) in its annual survey for the year 2014, recognized Hyderabad as the 2nd best MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Entertainment) destination in India, ranking after Delhi, with India placed at 35th position in the global ranking and 9th place in the Asia Pacific region. Hyderabad has emerged as the leading metro for many international association meetings and the city hosted 18 meetings in 2014, with the significant contribution of Hyderabad International Convention Center facilitating 13 conferences.

Hyderabad police gets ‘Express IT excellence award’
City Police Of Hyderabad were given ‘Express IT excellence award’ for 2015, in recognition of launching various IT initiatives and IT applications in the previous year. Hyderabad police is the only police organization to receive this award, by the Union Telecom and Information Technology ministry, because of their IT implementation.
