Uppal stadium is the venue of the IPL T20 for season 10 
and is the home ground for the Sunrisers Hyderabad Team. Popularly referred as the Uppal stadium in the city, the official name of the stadium is Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium.
The Uppal stadium is the sole international cricket stadium in Hyderabad and it is spread over an area of 16 acres. It is situated in Uppal area of Hyderabad City, the stadium can accommodate a crowd of 65,000 spectators. The location is right next to the inner ring road that is widest road in city limits and is well connected by public transport.

General Guidelines – Uppal Stadium Hyderabad
Spectators should keep few things in mind in order to enjoy the match viewing experience. Once you collect the entry pass, you should look for gate number indicated in the entry pass. Follow the same gate number to enter the allotted stand. Security at the stadium allows small number of things to be taken inside the stadium. We recommend you to avoid unnecessary things. You should not carry anything other than wallet and mobile. The things that are not allowed in the stadium include plastic carry bags, binoculars, cameras, eatables or drinkable, Data cables, chargers, earphones, coins, metal objects and water bottles. Please note that things like baby diapers and baby food are allowed inside the stadium. The bad news is that if security guards caught anything which is not allowed, then getting those things back from the guards is rare. The entry to the stadium starts atleast 3 hours before the match starts. Spectators should avail this facility to avoid unnecessary rush. The stadium has ample number of washrooms. You can enjoy the cafeteria which provides good tasty food.
Travelling to Uppal Stadium and Hotels to Stay
The travel time from Secundrabad Railway station to Uppal stadium is of 8 minutes if you drive by car. You will have to drive for 7 Kms to reach Uppal stadium. If you are coming from Shamsabad airport it will take 39 mins to reach Uppal stadium when travelling by car. You will have to drive for 33 Kms when you travel from Shamsabad airport to Uppal stadium. The good location for hotel is Begumpet, Habsiguda, Secundrabad or near Gachibowli.

This beautiful stadium is owned by Hyderabad Cricket Association. On April 2007, the stadium was equipped with flood lights mounted on six towers. Giant screen is available on the Eastern Stands along with a digital scoreboard opposite to it. The two ends are North end and Pavilion end. The North end was renamed after V.V.S Laxman when he retired. Previously the international cricket matches were held either in L.B. Stadium or Gymkhana grounds.
