For effective traffic maintenance and for booking the cases against the rash drivers, installation of 75 more closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras will be done at 36 junctions by the traffic police.
For constant vigilance of the movements of the trouble makers in 26 communally sensitive areas of old city, these cameras will be used. 132 cameras are being kept at 112 junctions in the cities. At Basheerbagh, the surveillance camera in the Police Commissioner’s Office will monitor the vehicles and notes the vehicle numbers by zooming.
Details of the violators will be collected from the RTA (regional transport authority) database and e-challan will be cited for penalty with date, time and place. And then the challans will be sent by post to the violators.
