RTA has decided to provide services through APOnline centers apart from e-Seva centers in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Krishna, Kadapa, districts. This service has been started from 8th October, 2010.
This facility is useful to driving license aspirants, life tax payers and rural area people, as it provides fast services and transparent delivery to applicants.
These services will be entertained in the first phase, such as collection of learner’s license, permanent license fee, life tax and quarterly tax for new vehicles and collection of periodical tax for existing transport vehicles, collection of periodical tax for existing transport vehicles.
After paying the fee, slots can be booked by applicants for learners and permanent license tests at the APOnline centers. APOnline operator update this transaction in the RTA database online and give the receipt. In the same way, life tax, periodic tax can be paid by vehicle owners through APOnline centers and they get the receipt. Totally there are 582 APOnline centers, in that 472 are located at Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy, 84 in Krishna, and 26 in Kadapa district.
This service will be extended to other districts too through APOnline centers, after data migration to Central RTA server is completed.
