City to Come up With Hi-Tech Commuter Amenity Centers

Following the inauguration of 1st Commuter Amenity Center(CAC) at ECIL ‘x’ roads, by Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, many of the city top bus terminals are also gearing up for the transformation. These centers will be well equipped with facilities such as parking areas, eSevas, restaurants, bus pass counters, supermarkets, ATMs, Internet cafe, Passenger information system, emergency medical aids, toilets, dormitories, public telephones and ramps for physically challenged people.

These centers are being set up under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). The other bus terminals which will be benefited by this plan are Kukatpally, Midhani, Kachiguda, Gowliguda, Shamshabad, Hayathnagar, Bandlaguda, Farooqnagar, Patencheru and Koti terminus.

RTC officials are also planning to build bus depots with an overall estimated budget of Rs.162.13 crore, at Musheerabad-II, Hayathanagar-II, Bandlaguda, Kachiguda and Chengicherla.
